Karate is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Kingdom. Karate originates from Japan and it was developed from the indigenous Ryukyuan martial arts. Ryukyuan martial arts was influenced by kung fu—the Fujian white crane, in particular—and was officially brought to Japan in the early 20th century, when the Ryukyu Kingdom was annexed by Japan.

Karate is a form of martial arts and it encompasses many different striking and defensive techniques. Karate can be performed by people of all ages and teaches mental as well as physical strength. Mostly participants wear a karate uniform. Karate teaches us to:

The purpose of Karate is solely for self defense. Karate helps one to become the best version of themselves both mentally and physically.

Usually Karate has a dress to it with a belt. The belt colour signifies the stage of the participant. Black belt being the highest category and white being the beginner category.
